Here at English Tea Shop, we love all things Christmas! This time of year is all about family and celebrating our tea-loving Prajãva community, which is something we incorporate into our lives all year round. Our Prajãva philosophy (which is the Sri Lankan word for community) embodies the values we so often associate with the festive period – which is why we love it so much. Our employees and farmers are at the core of our business, in fact, we are 30% employee owned with a growing community of 1400 organic farmers, and we like to make sure that those who work for us are looked after all year round.
Each year, we gather at the English Tea Shop HQ and decorate our office Christmas tree. This tradition is important to us for many reasons; it’s an opportunity to take time out of our busy work schedule to spend time together as a team! It also marks the beginning of the joyous festivities ahead, as we start to wind down for the year, reflecting on all that we’ve achieved in 2023. This year we’ve adorned our tree with lights and multi-coloured baubles along with some of our charming Christmas characters which are decorative and delicious, all in one lovely pyramid.

We think giving back to our community is especially important at Christmas, as it’s a time where lots of people around the world face elevated struggles with monetary demands. We work closely with the incredible team at Global’s Make Some Noise to ensure that families and children around the UK are looked after during the festive period.
